2011/2012 Faculty Fellows

Proposals for Faculty Fellowships in the Upcoming Seminar

Funds will be made available, on a per-course replacement basis, to enable Brown faculty members to receive release time from one course to participate in the 2012-2013 seminar, "Economies of Perception". The seminar will be under the direction of Tim Bewes, Professor of English. The seminar will meet on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (see full description)

All Brown campus-based full-time faculty members are encouraged to apply. Proposals should include a current curriculum vitae and a project proposal (1000 words) that describes the applicant's research. Faculty participants should have an active interest in the seminar's topic, but the research project may be in any related field and need not directly address the topic.

The deadline for proposals is January 17, 2012.

Current Pembroke Center Faculty Fellows

The Pembroke Center's Faculty Research Fellowships support the participation of Brown faculty members in the Pembroke Seminar, an interdisciplinary research seminar that meets weekly throughout the academic year. Participants include Pembroke Center Postdoctoral Fellows, Brown faculty, visiting faculty, faculty affiliates, and graduate and undergraduate fellows. In 2011-2012, the seminar focuses on "The Question of Consent" (see full description). Suzanne Stewart-Steinberg, Senior Faculty Research Fellow, leads the seminar. It meets on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm.
