The [crowning?] session.  I arrive at the EFP [Ecole freudienne de psychanalyse] early because I know there will be a crowd.  The first person I see on entering is Lacan.  Since he had attended the final session of the Texte Lacanien seminar, I figure he will attend ours – the last on the History of the French Psy. movement.  His presence makes me nervous.  He’s in his green plaid mohair jacket and his complexion seems bloodshot.  He is standing in conversation with an unidentified analyst.  I overhear him saying “parce qu’ell a e u".
