It is common for students who study critical theory in their courses at Brown to feel lost in philosophical abstraction. We designed these biweekly conversations between students as a low-pressure atmosphere for Brown undergraduates from all disciplines and intellectual backgrounds to gather and deploy their critical wisdom by interrogating current issues. Some conversations will be entirely student-run while others may feature a professor, graduate student, or recent alum. Most importantly, these discussions should not feel like more class. There will be little or no preparation expected and you certainly don’t need to be expert in critical theory to participate. If you have  an idea for a conversation topic, please contact us.
